Wigan Athletic supporters are set to arrive in the little village of Horwich for Saturday’s game against Bolton Wanderers in vast numbers for what is an absolutely crucial rekegation ‘six pointer’.
The Latics faithful have already snapped up close to 2,000 tickets for the game and as such the team knows it will be urged on to success by the largest following this season. In addition, the hosts will also be more than happy to gain the extra revenue as their own supporters have been somewhat lacking this season, with empty seats evident at every game that has taken place at the Reebok Stadium this season.
Thankfully the visitors are not in the mood to relinquish the vital three points that are at stake and arrive on the outskirts of Wigan town confident that the points will be taken half a mile up the road back home to Wigan via Aspull.
Club officials are urging supporters not to leave purchasing a ticket for what is likely to be a real blood and thunder Lancashire hotpot of a derby too late. It is unlikely that the Reebok Stadium ticket office will be open to purchase away tickets on the day, so get down to the DW Stadium NOW to ensure your place for the game that can be the start of Latics’ third consecutive ‘great escape’!

Now this is a local derby, the history goes back many moons onto the Manchester Road battle field.
