Sixy Talk - Reading Return
Category: Regular Features Written by NRP

Wow, who would have thought we could stick at this long enough to deal with interviewing someone twice? I was thinking of ducking the challenge and finding a different Reading fan this time around, but then I remembered that the last time I chatted with Dan from The Tilehurst End coincided with the last time I saw Latics win a league game in the flesh and the only time that I’ve seen a Spaniard score a hat-trick.

Sixy Talk - Huddersfield (a)

Another game, another adopted Wiganer struggling to cling on to their home town and accent. This week it’s Tim McGrath, now of this Parrish but latter of that place that’s on the way to Leeds where loads of people always get on the train, but no one ever seems to get off. He’s nothing to sell you and nothing to plug so I’ll not go on here and get straight on with the questions.

Whichever way you want to look at this week, it’s a blue one. Latics v Chelsea, the blues versus the blues, finished with a defeat that might have felt worse than it was, but was still enough to leave the DW faithful with the blues. Tomorrow, the blues of Leicester take on the blue & white of Huddersfield for the right to host our own blues on Sunday tea-time. And on top of it all, it’s bloody freezing, my fingers, toes, nose and other extremities are blue too.

Sixy Talk - Southampton (h)

I’m running late and, to be honest, I don’t have very much to take the Micky out of Southampton for, so I’ll keep this short. This week’s visitor is Chris Rann, owner of the excellently named (and well written) blog George Weah’s Cousin, he also writes for Betfair and ESPN. Like my good self, he’s also lined up to be part of What a Corker Magazine, so this might not be the first time you come across him

Sixy Talk - Stoke (a)

I was tempted to start this Sixy Talk off all bolshy and claim that I didn’t do it because there’s no way I’m talking to one of them Stoke types, what with their coming in our end, singing their songs and spoiling the BarclaysPremierLeague with their second division football. I was tempted, but then you might have missed the irony and gone straight to the comments bit below to leave some abuse.

I’ve been ill this week, I’m still ill in fact, I’ve spent most of the week in a daze but don’t worry about it. I’m not after sympathy, I just want you to know how committed I am to the cause of giving you pop pickers the chance to get my view on the weeks event through the medium of tenuous links and YouTube videos. So (cough) it’s time for (cough followed by puppy dog eyes) this week’s perfect hat-trick (holds head to forehead and collapses into a chair).
